Osteopathy can help with a number of learning difficulties including:
It can help to improve fine motor and gross motor skills, and balance and co-ordination. For example, writing, ball skills, running, hopping. This in turn usually results in improved levels of self esteem. Joe: Joe was 7 years old when he came for treatment to help with co-ordination dificulties and poor spatial awareness. He had poor concentration and struggled with writing, hopping and ball games. On assessing his movement we found that he walked with a wide base and struggled to hop, bouncing of the corridor walls at the practice.. Joe is now 8 years old and his writing had improved immensely, he even received a certificate for his writing at school. His co-ordination has improved with him being more able to walk up and down stairs and hop, and was not tripping and falling as frequently. With this there was improved self esteem, and was more eager to join in games at school. |
