My eldest daughter Poppy was diagnosed with glue ear at around the age of 20 months.  Her speech was very delayed although she communicated using Makaton signs.  I had heard through a friend that osteopathy could help with glue ear, so I booked an appointment with Sarah.  Poppy had just 3 or 4 sessions and the difference was absolutely amazing.  Sarah not only used osteopathy but also advised on diet.  Within weeks Poppy started using a wide range of words and forming sentences.  She was less irritable and less frustrated.  She was discharged from audiology without needing any treatment.  When she had an assessment with the speech therapist by age 2½, the therapist was amazed and immediately discharged her as she was using full sentences and holding conversations. I am absolutely convinced that this was down to the osteopathy, and would, and have, recommended it to others.  (Carroll)

My son Matthew was struggling with behaviour problems which included sleep disturbances, head banging, problems with communicating with people and fear of going to new places, and he  had reflux, but after treatment all these conditions improved.  He is now more able to cope with his autism, sleeps better, is better behaved and has recently won for the 2nd year, the achievement award for his progress at school.  I believe the cranial therapy helped him to be calm, therefore enabled him to understand and learn.  (Taylor)

When we took our 2 ½ year old son Daniel to Sarah, he wasn’t walking due to hypermobility.  Also he had fluid in his middle ear and wasn’t talking.  After his first session with Sarah, a few days later, Daniel started pulling himself up.  He was not showing any signs of this before.  Daniel is now discharged from audiology at hospital without the need for grommets.  He is saying more than a dozen words and taking a few steps independently.  I would recommend Sarah to anyone. (Jackson)

Joshua had a severe case of plagiocephaly.  We sought help from Warrington Osteopaths as Joshua’s head was very flat and seemed to be getting worse week by week.  We received regular treatment from the clinic and saw an improvement after just a few treatments.  The Clinic is fantastic, it is modern, well equipped, unbelievably clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful.  I cannot recommend this Osteopath enough, without the treatment Sarah Dodenhoff carried out, Joshua would still have a flat head, which could have affected his confidence later in life.  We can’t thank you enough for helping Joshua.  (Mawdsley)

I am writing this as the mother of my child Fraser, diagnosed with choreoathetoid cerebral palsy.  I initially found out about the osteopathic  services when I attended a talk given by Sarah to a group of parents of children with disabilities.  I asked Sarah to help with Fraser’s digestive difficulties, gagging and overall physical difficulties.  To date Fraser has attended an osteopathic session every one to two weeks.  It is Fraser who sees the benefits, as he tells me when I need to take him, particularly for the gagging.  Since going to Sarah, Fraser’s gagging has decreased immensely, which has also helped with his speech.  Fraser’s digestive system has been so much better and his overall physical condition has improved immensely.  Fraser does attend a number of various therapy centres, however the osteopathy has definitely made a huge impact, as the other therapists agree!  (Cash)

Lee has been visiting an osteopath for about 7 years now for autism, severe learning difficulties and behavioural issues.  Like all other parents we read about the miracle cures that have happened to other kids like Lee and decided to give it a go.  At no point did Sarah promise a miracle cure, but was confident she could help!!  Lee was a very poorly baby and permanently had an ear infection, he was also permanently tense and stressed.  Since going to the osteopath Lee is now a very fit and healthy young man.  Lee has no speech and therefore he cannot tell us how he has benefited and even after all this time I don’t confess to understand how or what she has done to him.  But all I know is that if you speak to anyone who has been involved with Lee they will say that he is a lot better after he has been.  If you need any more proof just come and watch him.  Lee runs in with a big smile on his face, lies down still for his treatment (which is a miracle because he’s never still), and comes out very chilled and relaxed. So to all you mums and dads out there looking for some help, I will try and sum it up:  Has it been easy – NO, Has he benefitted – YES, Would we do it again – YES            (Dimmock)

I had a car crash ten years ago leaving me with back problems, and now and again, after too much lifting or work, I set the sciatica off.  One visit to Sarah and it’s gone instead of days of pain and taking pain killers.  The Tiger Balm she sells is fantastic for home use.  Sarah is wonderful and the odd times I’ve been in a mess she has put herself out to treat me.  (Butterworth)

My son who is 4½ years old has been a patient of Warrington Osteopaths now for approximately 2 years.  The reason for this is my son is autistic with severe learning difficulties and no verbal communication.  I found the practice very welcoming and friendly and with regular sessions my son felt comfortable.  As autism was very new to us as a family, Sarah offered her support by lending us some very useful books and the Autism File magazine which I now have on order at my local newsagent.  Jake has progressed a great deal since we first met Sarah, he now understands certain words and has the use of PECS cards (picture exchange communication), this enables him to communicate with us without being frustrated.  We can’t thank Sarah enough as to how she has helped with Jake’s development.  As most children don’t like waiting children with autism certainly do not, we have always been on time for our appointments and never had to wait.  (Flackett)

I have had occasion to consult Warrington Osteopaths for various conditions including Sciatica, breathing difficulties (asthma), and more recently low back pain.  Great relief was obtained from the Sciatica after three sessions.  The difficulty with my breathing was helped a great deal after two sessions plus some sound advice with regard to self help.  More recently the lower back pain was fixed in one session and again some good advice with regard to self help.  (Perry)

Our son was diagnosed at the age of three with Autism, this meant that he had no communication and social skills.  We were researching Craniosacral Therapy on the internet when we found Warrington Osteopaths.  Sarah and her staff made us feel very welcome and explained everything in minute detail.  Now, almost nine years later, he has improved dramatically in that he is able to communicate and express his needs, and he has improved with social interaction.  We believe this is part of the Cranial Osteopathy treatment he has received at Warrington Osteopaths.  (Long)

We have been taking our 9 year old son with autism to Sarah for about 8 months now.  Her treatment is excellent and has an almost immediate positive effect on his restlessness, self injurious behaviour and anxiety.  I would thoroughly recommend her, as indeed I have to several friends who have children with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder).  (Oliver)
