Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is due to a chemical  imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain.  The hyperactivity is the body's way of trying to create more central nervous system activity.  It is characterised by impulsivity, inattention and hyperactivity.

Osteopathy is beneficial in helping to stimulate the nervous system giving it the energy it craves and so helping to calm the individuals behaviour and helping concentration levels.

John:

John was 4 years of age, he showed extreme varied behaviour with mood swings and tantrums.  He was constantly restless and fidgety and liked to spin a lot.  He had no sense of danger, frequently tripping and falling.  He had poor concentration and social interaction, and would talk constantly. 

John is responding well to treatment, he has calmed down, being a lot less fidgety and with a much reduced frequency of tantrums.  His co-ordination is much improved and his concentration is slightly better.
